Program Self-Assessment - Flexibility of Community Programs
A program assessment tool to enhance flexibility in programs and services to better support clients and caregivers.
The Flexibility Self-Assessment tool helps to support organizations and programs to consider, identify, and discuss opportunities to enhance services and programs. The tool is a framework to encourage teams to reflect on the flexibility of the services they offer.
It is recognized that there are resource and capacity limitations that can impede a program’s flexibility in addressing people’s more complex or challenging needs (e.g. ability to provide medication interventions, issues with toileting / incontinence, behavioral issues). This self-assessment helps to also identify these issues. It is not intended to simply identify areas where programs bear sole responsibility for making program changes, but can also help to identify where system changes are required.
